Such stories almost always turn out to be very similar to other stories we've seen. Each story attacks the reader with fear from a different direction and each tale paints its own picture of our world in vibrant color. Finally there is �The Paradox of Suffering�, a fantastic story that I think could stand on its own as a novella. These two books, totalling close to 1300 pages, certainly give you your money's worth.

Jeff Szpirglas has reached that magical point in his career where he no longer can count the books he’s written on his fingers, but that’s okay. Easily my favorite stories are the four Areopagan tales. A motorist slows down to yell at Maitland, but then drives away in fear. He has a short story, A Rose By Any Other Name, published as an audio performance at Vox Fabula. This complex drama scares readers to the core with the emotional baggage of the characters, and dark, moody artwork that perfectly captures the twisted and intense paranoia the protagonist feels.
